Necesitamos que el gobierno federal deje de desestabilizar pa\u00edses en el extranjero y empiece a tener pol\u00edticas internacionales con sentido com\u00fan. Debemos comprender que la paz y la estabilidad del Sur global tambi\u00e9n est\u00e1n relacionadas con el bienestar y el futuro de nuestro pa\u00eds.\n\n<br><br>\n<h4 class=\"question\"><strong>\u00bfSe trata de un problema mundial?<\/strong><\/h4><br>\nMuchos de los migrantes que llegan a Chicago proceden de Venezuela. Vemos pa\u00edses as\u00ed, que ahora son Estados fallidos por culpa de la industria de los combustibles f\u00f3siles. Las empresas transnacionales est\u00e1n tomando decisiones devastadoras para comunidades enteras. Y ahora estamos viendo las secuelas. El gobierno federal debe entender que si seguimos creando estos corredores humanitarios de migraci\u00f3n, vamos a ver llegar a m\u00e1s y m\u00e1s gente.<br><br>\n<h4 class=\"question\">A nivel local, \u00bfcu\u00e1l es la soluci\u00f3n a largo plazo para alojar a estos inmigrantes?<\/h4>\n<br>\n\nEstamos hablando de asegurarnos de que pasamos de la vivienda como mercanc\u00eda a hacer de la vivienda un derecho humano. Tenemos un plan para construir 120.000 viviendas [not just for migrants]. I think that we can create more shelters, more housing, more opportunity, because those are the cornerstone.
